The purpose of the Standard is to assist retailers, brand owners, and processors in producing products of consistent safety and quality.
The Standard is regarded as the international benchmark for best practice in the food industry. It has helped us build a strong framework upon which we have based such functions as supplier assessment programs and HACCP.
The BRC standard is updated every 3 years after extensive consultation with a wide range of stakeholders.
